At RiverStone we understand that everyone gets wounded by life. Difficulties, disappointments hardship, and sickness are certainly part of what we experience on this earth. What we often fail to see is that God deeply cares about everything we are going through. He invites us to come to Him to receive hope, encouragement, and healing. Although we can come to God completely on our own, the prayers of another person are sometimes what we need to experience compassion, comfort, and breakthrough.
James 5:16 instructs us to “pray for one another, that you may be healed.” Mark 16:18 tells us that those who believe in Jesus “will lay their hands on the sick and they will recover.” Acts 10:38 says that Jesus “went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
Healing prayer, when conducted in a safe and loving environment, has been a great blessing to many people. At RiverStone we provide many opportunities to receive healing prayer. Here are a few:
Following each of the Sunday morning services, trained Prayer Ministers are available to pray for those desiring prayer. This prayer time is open to everyone. Prayer Ministers listen to each request and pray as led by the Holy Spirit. All prayer requests are considered confidential. If you need prayer on any level: physical, emotional, or spiritual, this is a great opportunity to come and receive.
Our Prayer Room meets on the first Friday of every month. Join us at 7pm as we gather together in prayer and worship. We want to gather with the purpose of blessing the Lord and ministering to his heart. We seek to host the presence and would love to have you join us in doing so.
Each month RiverStone hosts a Night of Healing Prayer, which is open to anyone in our church or community. Everyone who comes has the opportunity to share their need and receive prayer from trained Prayer Ministers in a safe and loving environment.
Many people describe the Night of Healing Prayer as an oasis in the desert. It’s a place to come and rest in an atmosphere of worship, creative art, and the prayers of caring people. The Night of Healing Prayer occurs on the last Thursday night of each month, January through October and the first Thursday night in December from 7 to 8pm.
RiverStone began offering Sozo ministry in 2008 and it has been a life changing experience for many people. Sozo is a unique inner healing ministry designed to get at the root cause of those things that hinder our connection with God – things like shame, guilt, past wounds or lies that we hold onto. The freedom that people find in a sozo session enables them to discover the greater destiny that God has for them.
Sozo sessions are conducted by appointment only and last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. These sessions are conducted by two highly-trained sozo ministers. The atmosphere is safe, confidential, non-judgmental and loving. Click here to sign-up for a Sozo session.
All of RiverStone’s Prayer and Healing Ministries are served by volunteers within our church. Training sessions are offered throughout the year for individuals who are interested in serving on one of our healing teams. For more information, please contact info@riverstoneonline.org.
