Our vision is to partner with parents to inspire and equip the next generation (6th-12th grade) to live in the same way that Jesus lived–in humility, power, and love.
This ministry exists to assist in the discipleship and spiritual growth of the students who attend RiverStone Youth. We seek to model the early church as described in Acts 2:42-47. We hope to accomplish this through sound, age-appropriate biblical teaching, fellowship with other students and small group leaders, and a foundation built on prayer.
We believe as we encourage and lead students towards God’s vision for church and His heart that God will also move closer to them (James 4:8). As this happens we believe that as they grow in faith and maturity they will be missionaries in a culture that desperately needs them.
Although there are exceptions, we don’t believe RiverStone Youth is supposed to be a student’s primary means of discipleship. We believe that parents are the primary means of discipleship for their students (Deuteronomy 6:5-7). Our deep desire is to partner with parents to participate in the spiritual growth of their students and put them in a position to advance the kingdom by walking how Jesus walked (1 John 2:6).
We meet on Sunday nights from 6:00-8:00 PM upstairs in the Venue. We keep middle school students and high school students together for the first part of the night. Middle School and High School then separate so that they can receive teaching on their level. Our normal flow looks like this:
