The Celtic model vs. the Roman model.
Roman model: Presentation, Decision, Fellowship.
Celtic model: Fellowship, Ministry & Conversion, Belief & Invitation to Commitment
Most of the western church has operated through history in the Roman model that says you have to believe in order to belong. Saint Patrick said, “people will belong in order to believe”.
The Celtic model of evangelism begins with fellowship – people need to belong in order to believe. They loved people into the kingdom. The Celtics were a people of constant singing and prayer as they were an oral community. They knew that their own spiritual growth was their own responsibility.
