This Summary

Why did God make me?   Who shares my passions?   Can I really change my community?
We want to partner with you to help your dream become reality…

Since we moved into our current building, our leadership has often dreamed of all the good we can do once the debt on our building is paid off.  However, we’re not waiting any longer!

RiverStone has decided to move forward – regarding the building debt and regarding ministry.  We are moving forward with both.  We are not going to wait to go after new ministry initiatives when the debt is paid off.   We are going to help you unleash your dreams while the debt is being paid off.

To achieve these goals, RiverStone is launching THIS – This God. This Place. These People.  We are combining our desire to eliminate the debt on our building with our desire to help you achieve your ministry dreams.  THIS is a capital funds campaign AND a ministry initiative.  For every dollar given to THIS, 50% will go towards paying off our church debt and 50% will go towards funding an area of ministry that is meaningful to you. * Then, if you choose, you will have the opportunity to work together with others who have that same passion for that area of ministry.  With everyone’s help, by June, a large portion of building debt will be eliminated AND you will have the funds, a team, and a plan to go after your dreams.

*Funds may be re-allocated between stones based on approved project needs. The use of gifts is subject to the discretion and control of RiverStone Church leadership.

RiverStone’s name came from Joshua chapter 4 – “Choose twelve men from among the people, one from each tribe, and tell them to take up twelve stones…So Joshua called together the twelve men…, one from each tribe, and said …Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, …to serve as a sign among you.”   THIS will provide opportunities for ministry in twelve areas, and we are calling these areas our 12 Stones.

Where do your passions come alive?   Which stone is important to you?   In what area do you want to devote your time, talents, and treasures?

You are invited to partner with RiverStone to increase your ministry efforts while we pay off our building debt.  For the first phase, which kicked off March 12, we hope you will consider giving all or a portion of your tax refund to THIS.  And if you haven’t already joined a Stone Group, you can do so here.

We will continue through the summer and, in the fall, will kick off the second phase of THIS, with the 12 Stone ministries becoming what we hope is an ongoing part of RiverStone.   Our desire is to release the first phase of community transformation initiatives in June and the second wave of ministry events in December.

We are the people God can use to establish RiverStone as a place of ministry for our community.
