Care Team

The Care Team serves the RiverStone Community.

Who we are

The RiverStone Care Team Ministry is a group within the church dedicated to offering emotional, spiritual, and practical support to individuals or families who are facing difficult times. This may include support during illness, grief, family crisis or life transitions.

Our Mission

To reflect Christ’s love by supporting individuals and families during crisis or need through prayer, presence, and practical help-ensuring no one in our church walks through hardship alone.

Our Vision

To build a Christ-centered community where everyone feels seen, supported, and loved- especially in times of need- as we embody Jesus’ healing presence through compassion, humility, and grace.

RS Care Team FAQ

What specific support does the RS Care Team provide?

The RS Care Team is here to walk alongside you in seasons of need by offering spiritual, practical, and emotional support. Some of the ways we care include:

  • Spiritual Support

    • Prayer

    • Pastoral counseling

    • Crisis care

  • Practical Support

    • Meals

    • Resource assistance

  • Emotional Support

    • Phone calls and cards

    • Hospital or home visits

    • Grief and bereavement care

The Care Team is a ministry designed to serve those within the RiverStone community. It exists to support our church family by offering care and encouragement in times of need—whether spiritual, practical, or emotional.

Although the Care Team may feel supportive and therapeutic, it is NOT therapy. At times, you may encounter challenges that benefit from ongoing, one on one counseling. If you would like assistance connecting with a counselor, please email care@riverstoneonline.org

If you or someone you know needs support, you can contact the church office (678-384-5200), care@riverstoneonline.org, or a ministry leader. You may also submit a Care Team Referral Form.

Typically, the Care Team consists of volunteers, church staff, and clergy members who are trained to provide emotional support, prayer, and practical assistance. Volunteers do not need to be professionals, but should have a compassionate heart and the ability to listen and support others.
