Alpha is a series of ten sessions that freely explore life, spirituality and the foundations of the Christian faith in a fun, non-judgmental and safe environment. Whether you’re just checking it out, new to faith, exploring spirituality or just want to make some new friends, you are invited. Each session includes food, a short film, a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts. At any point, if you think Alpha isn’t for you, that’s not a problem. On Thursday, October 25th from 7-8:30 pm RiverStone will host a Night of Healing Prayer. This is an opportunity to encounter God through contemplative worship, prophetic arts, and healing prayer. The atmosphere is safe, loving, and confidential. We pray for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of people. Come and experience God’s blessing, rest and encouragement. Childcare is provided free of charge.
We are excited to announce that our speaker this year will be Anita Corsini. Anita, co-owner of REDBaRN Homes, is a real estate agent and designer, and co-host of HGTV’s ‘Flip or Flop Atlanta.’ Authentic and fun, Anita knows no strangers and sees the people in her life as God’s greatest gifts. A graduate of UGA and former math teacher, Anita has changed careers to support the family business. The road hasn’t always been straight or clear, but the Lord has always been the guide. With lifelong friends and family, Anita has navigated a number of trials, including her son’s cancer diagnosis in 2014. This challenged her faith to the core but by the grace of God she came out stronger on the other side. Anita is wife to Ken for 18 years, and mother to Naomi (11), Rocco (8), and Kayla (8), all 4 keep her in stitches and smiling every single day.
